This website and the local agent are different.

uselumen.app is a public page about Lumen. Opening it is a normal web request. The Lumen app, when you run it on your own computer, is a separate program with a separate data boundary.

What this website does

The site is a set of static files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, and the text you are reading. The sample workflow is written into the page. It does not record a visitor, ask for a microphone or camera, accept a file upload, run a model, or store an account.

There is no contact form, mailing list, analytics product, advertising pixel, or embedded tracker on these pages. Social and repository links appear only after those destinations exist. Nothing here is a place to send a recording or a private document.

What the host can see

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare’s privacy policy, effective 4 November 2025, describes people who visit a customer’s website as end users. For that traffic, Cloudflare says the information it processes may include IP addresses, traffic routing data, system configuration information, and other information about requests to the customer’s site. Serving this website uses that infrastructure.

This project has not enabled a separate web-analytics suite, and these pages do not set their own cookies. A hosting response can still include a cookie or log entry that Cloudflare uses to deliver or protect the site. This page does not claim that the host keeps no logs. It also does not claim that the site owner has reviewed a retained log store. Check the live response headers if you need the current cookie behavior.

Preview addresses on pages.dev are asked not to be indexed. The public pages intended for people are this site’s home, privacy, and blog index.

Marketing contact is not product data

No public contact mailbox is configured for this site. hello@uselumen.app is not a working address. Do not send personal recordings, documents, or account secrets to an unpublished address. If a contact route is added later, it will be a separate channel from the app’s local store, and it will be named on this page.

The local agent’s boundary

Lumen, the app, is being built so that speech, embeddings, and generation run on the supported device, and so that selected recordings, indexes, and outputs stay in local storage by default. The current implementation is a macOS preview. Its signed app and helper are sandboxed and have no network entitlements. Activity memory is off. The current search workflow reads the files you select and does not change them. A Markdown export is a new file you explicitly save.

Local processing is not a claim of application-specific encryption, and it is not an independent audit. Device protection, backups, and the destination of an export are separate from where a model runs. Real transcription, summary, and retrieval quality are not established public results.

The app does not use this website as a fallback. Visiting uselumen.app does not open your files, and the website cannot operate the app.
